In its first overseas venture, VGI Inc was set up in San Jose, California to increase sales of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) in USA.

1986 August
VK Manufacturing Sdn Bhd was set up in Pasir Gudang in Johor, Malaysia, to assemble LCD modules and perform back-end processes of LCDs.

1988 March
Vikay Europe was incorporated to increase the sales of LCDs in Europe and a Representative Office was established in Frankfurt, Germany.

1988 December
Vikay Technology Sdn Bhd was set up in Bandar Tenggara in Johor, Malaysia to manufacture LCDs. With the award of a five-year pioneer status, the plant commenced full production in November 1989.

1990 October
As the business expanded, the Singapore operations were relocated to a four-storey building at Lower Delta Road.

1991 October
Vikay Industrial (Hong Kong) Limited took over the marketing and sales support functions from Vikay International (Hong Kong) Limited.

1993 September
With an overwhelming subscription of 68 times to its Initial Public Offer (IPO), Vikay Industrial Limited was listed in the SGX on 9 September 1993.

1993 October
High Vac Industrial Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, which deals with the manufacture of ITO coated glass sheet was acquired. It has been granted a partial pioneer status for five years from the commencement of the date of production.

1994 February
VK Manufacturing Sdn Bhd moved its operations from rented premises to its own eight units of single-storey premises in Labis in Johor, Malaysia. The manufacturing facility continues to assemble LCD modules.

1994 March
Vikay Industrial was awarded the ISO 9000 Certification Scheme by SISIR for quality assurance in production and installation.

1994 April
Vikay Industrial was given a Certified Supplier Award by a USA customer, White-Rodgers Division, Emerson Electric Company.

1994 August
Vikay Industrial (Hong Kong) Limited relocated its sales and administration office to the Metroplaza Tower 2 in Hong Kong.

1994 November
The five-year status granted to Vikay Industrial for manufacturing pioneer products, which expired in November 1994, was extended for one year and a further two years.

Vikay Technology Sdn Bhd was awarded the Quality Management Systems ISO 9002 Certification by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services Limited.

1995 March
Vikay Industrial installed a second ITO processing line which commenced production of coated glass.

1995 June
Vikay Industrial was awarded the ISO 9000 Certification Scheme by SISIR for quality assurance in production and installation and servicing.

1995 June
Vikay Europe's UK Representative Office relocated to Surrey, England.

1995 September
Vikay Industrial was awarded the ISO 9000 Certification Scheme by SISIR for free of ozone depleting substances, classification, chemicals.

Vikay Technology Sdn Bhd was awarded the ISO 9000 Certification Scheme by SISIR for free of ozone depleting substances, classification, chemicals.

1996 May
Vikay Industrial was awarded the Innovation Development Scheme Grant Award by the EDB for the development of large screen colour Super Twisted Nematic (STN) LCDs.

1996 August
Vikay Industrial was awarded the Innovation Development Scheme Grant Award by the EDB for the development of GPS systems and the development of thin film technology for high performance STN LCDs.

1996 September
Vikay Industrial was awarded the Research and Development Assistance Scheme Grant Award by the NSTB for the development of prototype high-tilt angle polymeric coatings for STN type LCDs.

1996 October
VK Manufacturing Sdn Bhd was awarded the Quality Management Systems ISO 9002 Certification by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services Limited.

1997 August
Vikay Industrial was awarded the Innovation Development Scheme Grant Award by the EDB for the development of a processing technique for dry etching on glass substrates and the development of flip-chip-on-glass process.

1997 December
On 6 December 1997 , upon application by certain creditors of the Company, the High Court of Singapore placed the Company under Judicial Management (JM). Under JM, the Group underwent a comprehensive restructuring. Certain non-productive and non-performing assets of the Group, including its China subsidiaries, were disposed off as part of the restructuring plan. The disposals were targeted to exclude certain less-making businesses and unproductive assets from the Group to better enhance its financial performance going forward.

2002 January
After the restructuring, the Company was re-listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange on 15 January 2002 . The Group emerged debt-free and attained financial stability under a Scheme of arrangement where the liabilities incurred before the JM and the share capital were restructured and reduced. Additional cash was injected into the Group through the issue of new shares to a new investor for working capital and future investments. A new Board of Director and new management team were appointed to further restructure the Group's business towards turning it around towards profitability. The new management also seeks to diversify the Group's business into related high growth sectors to enhance the Group's future growth prospect.

2007 March
The Group completed its acquisition of CarrierNet Corporation Limited ("CNET") and gained access to CNET's global Voice over Internet Protocol ("VoIP") network and the products and services offered by CNET, including its own VoIP service, VoiceBB, as well as wholesale carrier, retail international direct dial and global calling card products and services.

2008 January
The Group completed its acquisition of Uni 3 Pte. Ltd.("Uni 3"), a major prepaid calling card and prepaid mobile top up card distributor in Singapore. This enabled the Group to penetrate and access the retail telephony sector in Singapore.

2008 September
ArianeCorp Changes Name To CarrierNet Global Ltd.- Trading On The SGX Under The New Name Commences On 15 September 2008.

2008 October
The Group entered into a business disposal agreement dated 16 October 2008 with First Place Pte Ltd, pursuant to which the Group shall dispose of the entire issued and paid-up share capital of each of:

2010 February
The Group had undergone a restructuring exercise to transfer CarrierNet Corporation (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("CCS"), which was previously wholly-owned by CarrierNet Corporation Limited, to the Company. At the same time, the Company entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Toprich Venture Limited ("Toprich") for the sale of its 100% wholly-owned subsidiary, CarrierNet Corporation Limited ("CCL") and a subsidiary of CCL, Memphis Telecom Pty Ltd. The disposal was completed on 2 March 2010.
